| This website was made to introduce the work of finnish rescueswimmers in the Finnish Frontier Guard / Air Patrol Squadron. The rescuemissions allways need the whole crew to work as a team, but these pages concentrate on the Rescueswimmers point of view. | |||

The crew consists of two pilots (pilot in command / co-pilot), mechanic and one or two rescueswimmers. Every crewmember has it´s own specific task in the different flightmissions. The rescueswimmers job is to deliver the aid to the people to be rescued. He is also responsible for the medical first aid and the monitoring of the patients on rescue- and MedEvac- missions. All rescueswimmers have at least "EMT - intermediate" (U.S.) level medical skills and a part also have a second class divingpermit. |
